New Release: 2021 Produttori del Barbaresco Riserva 'Crus' Collectors Case

Today we are delighted to offer some brilliant mixed cases of 2021 Riserva Barbarescos from Produttori del Barbaresco, providing a unique opportunity to sample the different “terroirs” of the Piedmont region.  The 2021 vintage is already regarded as one of the all-time greats for Barbaresco, and Italian wine authority, Antonio Galloni, has awarded some HUGE ratings for the wines!   'This is a superb set of new releases from the Produttori del Barbaresco cooperative. The Produttori remain the single most important producer in Barbaresco because of the quality of their wines and the scale of their deep reach into many markets around the world. It’s an extremely consistent vintage across all nine wines, something that does not always happen' Antonio Galloni For those who don't know these world-class wines, Produttori del Barbaresco is an Italian wine producer specialising in the Nebbiolo grape variety in the Barbaresco appellation.  As well as being one of the very finest and best-known producers in Barbaresco, it is also regarded as one of the greatest wine cooperatives in the world. There are around 50 member growers with a combined total of approximately 110 hectares (271 acres) of vineyards. The flagship wine is the generic Barbaresco, known for its reliable quality, elegant Nebbiolo typicity, and great value.  In better vintages, Produttori del Barbaresco also produces multiple single-vineyard (cru) Riserva Barbarescos. These are all vinified and aged in the same style to highlight the differences in terroir, with the current vintage being the 2021.

 

 

The case is beautifully presented and comes with a map of the region, giving you the opportunity to further understand the wines of Piedmont.
