2010 Pianirossi, Maremma Toscana - Magnums - Special opportunity this summer

Over the past couple of years many of our clients have been enjoying the outstanding 2010 Pianirossi.  The beautiful 40 acre estate is situated in Maremma, to the south west of Montalcino.  Stefano Sincini purchased the estate over 30 years ago and alongside winemaker Carlo Ferrini, they have overseen the continued improvement in quality.

Pianirossi is an estate that is still somewhat under the radar of most Italian wine lovers, which is just the way we like it to be... so it remains an outstanding bargain!

Special opportunity available for 2010 magnums!

The 2010 is a beautiful, mature Tuscan blend from a great Tuscan vintage.

The estates flagship wine is a lovely blend of 40% Petit Verdot, 30% Montepulciano and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.  These grapes combine wonderfully, producing a classic Super Tuscan, with a touch of Bordeaux aristocracy.

'This is a full intensity Tuscan blend that shows thickness, dark extraction and heavy red fruit aromas. Crushed black pepper, leather and wet terra-cotta also fit into this unique aromatic equation. The wine presents a full bodied style with sweet cherry and tangy Indian spice on the close.'

Monica Larner - The Wine Advocate

Twelve years on from the vintage, the 2010 is drinking beautifully, with silky soft tannins, ripe fruit and deliciously mature complex aromas and flavours.

The regular price for magnums of this superb wine is £70 - contact us this summer to find out about our special summer pricing!

'The hallmark of the Gaja estate, the Barbaresco is sourced from 14 vineyards within Barbaresco and Treiso. For the 2018 vintage, there will be no single cru bottlings for Barbaresco' Jeb Dunnuck   Gaja Barbaresco has an extraordinary track record and this is a wine that the family have been making since 1859. It is 100% Nebbiolo sourced from the families various vineyards located in the municipality of Barbaresco. The winery was founded in 1859 in Langhe, Piedmont by Giovanni Gaja and it ...
